It is an exclusive collection with the son of the world famous artist Damien Hirst that the luxury brand Prada has announced. Prada’s collection is called Timecapsule NFT and debuted on June 2, 2022. It is an evolution of the previous Timecapsule collection launched in December 2019. This collection offered physical ready-to-wear items every first Thursday of the month. A new collection project, but which will be in the form of NFT

The new collaboration project will be launched with 100 gendered shirts designed by the artist Cassius Hirst, son of Damien Hirst. This time, however, Prada will sell the physical items with an NFT GIF featuring the unique serial number of the corresponding physical item. This launch marks a new stage in the world of fashion. Indeed, there are no more luxury brands that are now launching into the Web3.0. Brands such as Hogan or Gucci have already embarked on NFTs, especially for luxury shoes. These adventures gave birth to success stories like that of the RTFKT studio. Studio which was also bought by Nike, which is also very present in the Web3.0 and the sale of NFT.

A Prada NFT collection in collaboration with Cassius Hirst

The Prada Timecapsule drop was created in collaboration with Cassius Hirst, the artist’s son Damien Hirst. The collection offers an exclusive technical fabric shirt, available in black and white and decorated with the motifs of Cassius Hirst’s mask and brain scanner, which symbolize unity and solidarity. Cassius Hirst has also collaborated for a collection of luxury shoes with Prada. The Prada brand was not at its first trial with the NFTs. Indeed, the Italian luxury brand had launched an NFT project in partnership with Adidas on Polygon (MATIC).

A successful NFT sale for Prada

In 20 minutes, the sale was closed. Prime drop was available 24 hours. All you have to do is wait until July 7th if you want to buy a new item from Prada.

The big luxury brands are all getting into NFTs. It’s without appeal. Despite udoes interest in NFTs fall, the market seems to be doing well. Indeed, the advantages related to blockchain technology lend themselves completely to the game of online luxury sales. This activity combines entertainment, fashion and the possibility of reselling your NFT on platforms like Opensea, to potentially amortize the purchase of a luxury garment.
