FC Barcelona wins 100 million euros!

Orpheus Media has paid 100 million euros to acquire the 24.5% of Barça Studios. The Catalan club intends to use its funds to register its new recruits, namely Lewandowski, Raphinha, Koundé, Kessié and Christensen. This is a relief for the Catalans who were looking forward to their favorite players. Note that the president Joan Laporta and the vice-president Rafa Yuste of FC Barcelona negotiated a lot to make this sale.

Recall that last week, La Liga did not proceed to the approval of the contracts of the new recruits of Barca. This is due to the fact that the financial balance sheet of the club indicated that it had significant financial difficulties. To cope with these, the Catalan club has been working to recover cash for some time.

You should know that with this sale, the company Barca Studios will be renamed Barca Digital & Entertainment (BDE). It will now be focused on the growth of Web3 and will be powered by the FC Barcelona Fan Token (BAR) cryptocurrency and Chiliz Blockchain. Let’s specify that the fan token of the Catalan club is sold on Socios.com .

In recent months, FC Barcelona has signed several partnerships in order to obtain more liquidity. In particular, the club has signed a partnership with Spotify. He also completed a transaction with the American investment fund Sixth Street. Before the transaction with Orpheus Media, FC Barcelona had sold 25% of the shares of Barça Studios to Socios.com .
